The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has undertaken a review of the safety of the ingredient Artemisia, and has formed the view that the safety of listed medicines containing Artemisia species may pose a risk when used by consumers who are pregnant, or likely to become pregnant.
In light of this, the TGA is advising that medicines which contain Artemisia ingredients should not be taken by women who are pregnant, think they may be pregnant, or intend to become pregnant. |

Distributors:
Distributors are advised to inspect their inventory and quarantine any remaining stock of the affected products. The sponsor will be in contact to arrange the return of stock. Distributors should ensure any customers who have been supplied stock are made aware of this recall by providing them a copy of the Customer Letter.
Retailers/Practitioners:
Customers are advised to inspect stock and quarantine any units of the affected products.
Customers should complete the Acknowledgement Form (supplied to impacted facilities with the Customer Letter) and return it in order to arrange for affected stock to be recovered. Affected stock will be relabelled to include the pregnancy warning, and returned to retailers.
Consumers:
Consumers are being advised to return their product to the place of purchase for a refund.
