A packaging process fault may result in the possible presence of glass related to the affected batch.
Weleda Australia was made aware of this problem via ONE consumer complaint.
If present in the powder when applied to the infant’s gums, a small glass fragment could cause discomfort or pain and minor injury if not noticed by the parent/caregiver.
In the worst-case scenario this may also pose a choking hazard, and/or cause injury to the Gastrointestinal Tract requiring urgent medical attention. |
| Instructions for Customers/Users |
Retailers and Wholesalers are to:
·Immediately quarantine affected stock of batch number (B)231302 on hand to prevent further use.
·Pharmacy Retail Stores are to follow the standard processes their wholesaler has in place.
Consumers are to:
·Not administer the powder from the affected batch to their infant or child.
·Return the product to the place of purchase to receive a replacement or a refund. Alternatively, contact the Weleda Australia directly for further assistance.
