The cap on Span K (potassium chloride) 600mg tablet bottles is not child resistant. Apsen Pharmacare is conducting a Recall for Product Correction to replace the current plain white cap with an enclosed child resistant cap. Future stock will include a child resistant cap. |

Aspen Pharmacare is advising consumers to return their medication to their dispensing pharmacy for the replacement with child resistant caps (CRC). Pharmacies are requested to undertake this replacement before returning the reworked product to consumers. Pharmacies are also requested to replace the caps for stock in their dispensary. Wholesalers are advised to contact Aspen to arrange for stock to be returned for either a replacement or credit.
